Politics aside, the Trump Soho french toast is outrageous. It tastes like a crunchy apple cider donut. The chef was kind enough to write out the ingredients. I love to serve with my favorite syrup, Blis Bourbon Maple Syrup.

CRUNCHY CINNAMON CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST

Serves 4

4 eggs

1 loaf challah bread, sliced into 1-inch thick slices

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup half and half

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

4 cups cornflakes, slightly crunched

Unsalted butter

Maple syrup

Preheat an electric griddle to 350 degrees, or a pan to medium heat. In a large bowl, whip together the eggs, cream, half and half, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. In another bowl, add the cornflakes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture, immersing both sides. Press each side into the cornflakes and set onto the baking sheet.

Generously coat the griddle or pan with butter. Fry until golden brown, about 4 minutes each side. Top with maple syrup.
